Chandler’s Firearms and Estates is more than a typical gun shop

Stepping into Chandler’s Firearms and Estates, 2 South Main Street, Kilmarnock, is like stepping back in time rather than walking into any typical gun shop.

Eric Chandler of Chandler’s Firearms and Estates carries a variety of new, used and antique firearms, accessories and men’s clothing.

In addition to new Glocks and gently used shotguns, proprietor Eric Chandler has curated a variety of inventory including pistols dating from the 1700s and firearms used by pirates from the East India Trading Company. At Chandler’s, the experience is one of a museum’s ilk rather than that of a store.

After retiring in 2022 after many years of working as an electrician for Verizon, Chandler relocated to the Northern Neck. Often visiting the area as a child, he knew the Northern Neck would suit him well.

Chandler said he’s always had a passion for firearms and the history that comes along with them. Everyone collects something, and for him it has always been….
