Dr. Grayson Johnson graduated from the University of Virginia (UVA) on May 21 after completing his chemistry doctorate with a concentration in physical chemistry in November 2021. The title of Dr. Johnson’s graduate thesis was “Chemistry of the nanomaterial interface: controlling nanoparticle morphology, self-assembly, and catalysis.”
In 2021, Dr. Johnson was awarded a fellowship from the Department of Energy Science Graduate Student Research Program. In 2019, he was recognized at the National Academy of Sciences Building in Washington, D.C., as a foundation scholar by the Metropolitan Washington Chapter of Achievement Rewards for College Scientists (MWC/ARCS) for 2019-20.
