The Chesapeake String Quartet of the Virginia Symphony Orchestra will perform from 4 to 6 p.m. May 19 in Historic Christ Church, 420 Christ Church Road, Weems.
“From Beethoven to Borodin: Beloved Masterworks with the Chesapeake String Quartet” will feature three pieces from Beethoven, Borodin and Haydn: Beethoven’s String Quartet in E Minor, Op.59 No. 2 (1805); Borodin’s String Quartet No. 2 in D Major (1881); and Haydn’s String Quartet in D Minor, op. 76, no. 2, Quinten (1796).
