The Northern Neck Artisan Trail on May 12 will hold its monthly Open Door Tour. Participants will offer special events, classes, tours and tastings, and exclusive open studio experiences.
At Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern, 73 Monument Place, Heathsville, the Tavern Spinners & Weavers Guild will present “From Concept to Product.” A number of looms will be set up and members will show the various stages in the weaving process, including putting on a warp, threading, sleying the reed and weaving. The public is invited to try their hand at each loom, reported Corinne Becker.
