Christchurch names head football coach

Christchurch School athletics and co-curricular activities director John Dehm recently announced Joel Jorgensen will be the school’s head football coach.

Jorgensen comes to Christchurch from his high school alma mater, the McDonogh School in Owings Mills, Md., where he was a wide receiver coach and recruiter for four years.

He was captain of the football team at St. Anselm’s College in Goffstown, N.H., and graduated with a degree in communication. Following college, Jorgensen was a coaching intern at the University of New Hampshire for a season, before heading to Johns Hopkins University where he was an assistant coach (defense, strong safeties) from 2016-19.

Coach Jorgensen will teach in the humanities department at Christchurch.
