A candlelit Celtic worship service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, November 8, at Grace Episcopal Church, 303 South Main Street, Kilmarnock.
The reflector will be nurse practitioner Christine Collins, reported parish administrator Brett Harrison. The Grace Church Celtic Musicians will provide music. A community supper of homemade bread and soup will follow the service.
Collins was born and raised in California. She came to the Northern Neck in 2010 when she joined Dr. Tingle at the Lively Medical Center. She and her husband were drawn to this area to be nearer the water as she and her husband both enjoyed sailing.
Collins is a doctoral prepared nurse practitioner with 43 years of experience in a variety of roles. She has a masters nursing from the University of Pennsylvania and a doctor of nursing practice from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. Interestingly, she received her doctorate and her Medicare card within two weeks of each other…..
