The Lancaster by the Bay Chamber of Commerce will present the 42nd Kilmarnock Lighted Christmas Parade at 7 p.m. Friday, December 10.
The theme is “Peace on Earth,” said executive director Anne Paparella. The grand marshal will be the Rev. Dr. Tyron D. Williams, pastor of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
The parade route extends from Chesapeake Commons Shopping Center and along Main Street to Irvington Road to School Street, disbanding at Lancaster Middle School.
Paparella noted Santa will not be meeting with children at the Kilmarnock Firehouse prior to the parade.
The parade lineup includes Kilmarnock VFD brush truck, White Stone VFD brush truck, Upper Lancaster VFD brush truck, LHS cheerleaders carrying parade partners banners, Dominion Energy, Tri-Star Supermarket, Kilmarnock Police….
