Katherine Benson’s eyes sparkled and her smile widened in amazement as flakes of snow fell on a warmish December evening at Town Centre Park in Kilmarnock. Riley Smith reached out for the hand of her friend and prepared for the cold snowflakes to hit her. However, the snowflakes weren’t cold. The white bubbles came from a snow making machine during the Santa Village celebration Friday, December 3. The ticketed event featured several stations, including snow making, jewelry making, ornament making and reindeer games.
