Claude F. “Chick” DeNinno

LOTTSBURG—Claude Francis “Chick” DeNinno, 82, of Lottsburg passed away on November 10, 2022, at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital.

Chick was born on February 17, 1940, to Mary Grace Totaro and Claude Francis DeNinno Sr.

Chick had a lifelong passion for racing, proven by his extensive list of accomplishments in this field. He spent time as a pro stock drag racer and established his business, Fabrications Inc. He was a NASCAR and drag car chassis builder, a recipient of The Ronnie Sox Memorial Award for Lifetime Achievement in racing, shop manager and crew chief for Sox & Martin, and was inducted into the East Coast Drag Racing Hall of Fame.

Chick was blessed with a large and loving family. He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Jean (Alexander) DeNinno; his children, Keith DeNinno, Kirk DeNinno (Brooke) and Kim Bruce (Barry); his stepchildren, Kristin Ellis (John) and Stephen Walker (Karen); and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Chick will be dearly missed by his loved ones.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
