HEATHSVILLE—Thomas Mitchell Jett, 85, of Heathsville passed away November 10, 2022.
He worked for Omega Protein for 45 years and retired as senior production supervisor. He was a lifelong member of Tibitha Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Childs Jett; daughters, Brenda Allen and Vickie Garcia (Steve); five grandchildren, Victoria Tuthill (George), Ashley Dawson (Lewis), Sara Newsome, CSM Harold Sampson III (Melissa) and Christopher Sampson; 11 great-grandchildren; stepdaughter, Debbie Childs Harper (Ken); stepson, Norman Childs (Janet); three step-grandchildren, Chris Harper (Yancel), Kristen Holland (Wesley) and Kaylee Childs; two step-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jimmie Jett (Virginia Mae), Johnny Jett (Ann) and Mitchell Jett (Sue); and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Viola and Mitchell Jett; sisters, Jane Walters and Gertrude Saunders; and brothers, Wallace Jett and Raymond Lee Jett.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, at Tibitha Church of God, Reedville. Interment followed the service at Roseland Cemetery. Family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, November 14, at the church.
