Community prepares for 126th Holly Ball

Lancaster County debutantes from left are Adair Rawles Stanley, Elizabeth Madison Stanley, Virginia Erika-Lee DeMario and Olivia Lynne Saunders. They are among 11 young ladies who will be presented at the 126th Holly Ball December 28.

The 126th Holly Ball will be celebrated Wednesday, December 28, at Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club by 11 debutantes, their families and friends.

Originating in 1895 by John Armistead Palmer whose vision it was to honor a local belle, the Holly Ball enjoys a long-honored tradition of supporting many financial needs of neighboring localities. The Tidewater Foundation, the arm of local philanthropy for the Holly Ball, distributes proceeds to many local civic, educational and charitable groups, reported publicity chairman Patricia Gallagher.
