Community supports ULVFD Spring Mud Bog

The Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department (ULVFD) held its annual Spring Mud Bog on Saturday, May 31, at the Lively Firehouse. The event featured about 25 vehicle entries.

After several days of consistent rainfall, the sun shined on a day of fun at the Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department, where hundreds of spectators cheered on drivers as they took to the mud pit.

The event, which serves as a primary fundraiser for the department, was a “resounding success,” according to ULVFD secretary Jimmy Coates.

Funds raised from the event go directly towards providing much needed equipment. Beyond ticket sales, entry fees and concessions, major sponsors serve as a key component to….
