In the February 20 Rappahannock Record, an article entitled “Cat sanctuary and boarding house to close due to funding cuts” the Animal Welfare League’s (AWL) 2017 budget was mistakenly reported to be $1,466,389.
This figure included the value of the AWL building, in addition to other assets. The organization’s actual 2017 budget was $485,272 according to its 990 form filed with the IRS.
