Costume contest set for children and pets

Children ages 11 and younger are invited to participate in the annual Irvington Halloween Costume Contest on All Hallows Eve, October 31, at the Irvington Commons, 98 King Carter Drive, Irvington.

Pets in costume also are invited to enter the contest, sponsored by the Irvington Village Improvement Association (VIA).

Boys and girls, ghosts, goblins, ghouls, superheroes, dogs and cats, moms and dads should gather at the gazebo by 6 p.m. on October 31 to line up with their age group. Judging will begin at 6:15 p.m.
