Costuming from the past to present; wear one to LCL

On Thursday, July 18, Robert Hundley will discuss costuming and how what one wears is the basis for who one portrays. The program will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Lancaster Community Library, 16 Town Centre Drive, Kilmarnock.

It is the final session in the LCL summer series, A Special Evening With…., reported library director Alice Cooper. This event is co-sponsored with the Lancaster Virginia Historical Society.

Attendees are urged to dress in costume that can be historically based, a cosplay character, Harry Potter, or a superhero, said Cooper.

Hundley is a researcher and creator of historical garments from the 18th century to the present. He has been a docent at Stratford Hall and Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern. He has given presentations to school groups and has participated in….
