Crittenden finishes as medalist to lead Lancaster’s effort in two golf matches

Lancaster’s Spencer Crittenden shot a 2-over-par 37 on nine holes as the individual medalist in a three-team match at Hobbs Hole Golf Course last Wednesday and tied for the low score in a four-team outing at Quinton Oaks Golf Course on August 21.

Host Essex High had the low team score of 165 last week to win the three-team match in Tappahannock. Tristan Gross shot a 39 to lead the Trojans, while teammates Tae White and Logan Cooke tied with a 41 and Cliff Whitlock had a 44.

Middlesex placed second with a 185 and was led by Avery Payne with a 41, Mathew Wilson with a 43, Linton Robbins with a 48 and Joseph Sears with a 53.

Peyton Lambert, a JV player whose score didn’t count in team scoring, shot the low for the Chargers with a 39.
