Deadrise Disc Golf Course, 480 Old Saint Johns Road, Irvington, will host its second Captain’s Classic doubles tournament on Saturday, June 8.

The entry fee is $50 per two-person team and proceeds will help to continue improvements at the course, according to club director Davey Nichols.

Register at discgolfscene.com.  The course will open for practice from 9 a.m.-12:45 p.m.; tournament check in will be held from 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. A players meeting will begin at 12:45 p.m., followed by a group photo. Tournament play will be from 1-3 p.m. with an awards ceremony to follow. A post-tournament party with DJ Throwy Hands and refreshments will be held from 3-6 p.m.

Nino’s Pizza food truck will be on site throughout the tournament and there will be a beverage cart accepting donations.

“Grab a partner and come join us for a great time at Deadrise Disc Golf,” said Nichols.

Established in 2022, Deadrise Disc Golf is an 18-hole course open daily from sunrise to sunset. It is free to play and donations are accepted.
