Dixie C. Robbins

WHITE STONE—Dixie Campbell Robbins, 81, of White Stone passed away on January 20, 2018.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Meredith M. Robbins; sons, Mack Robbins and Leo Robbins (Michelle); seven grandchildren, Eric Robbins, Jennifer Thomas, Chris Robbins, Teresa Robbins, Kylie Abbott, Abigail Robbins and Carter Robbins; four great-grandchildren, Torri Thomas, Tiffany Thomas, Lane Abbott and Walter Abbott; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and a very dear cousin, Gerry Cooper.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo Cooper and Garland Stoneham Cooper; son, Richard Campbell Robbins; and sister, Catherine Kessler.

Dixie attended St. Margaret’s School in Tappahannock and Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg. She was the founding member of The Lancaster Players and owner of Arrowhead Travel.

Dixie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend to so many. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed all types of music, loved to travel, loved the theatre and adored her kitty cats.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2018 at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. Interment will be private.
