Dolores B. McCann

LOTTSBURG—Dolores Bissonnette McCann, 91, died April 21, 2023, in Tappahannock.

 She was born October 12, 1931, in Fredericksburg, the daughter of the late Frederick Bissonnette and Mary (Rhome) Bissonnette. Dolores grew up in Richmond.

 She retired from Reynold Metals International in Richmond. Prior to coming to Reynolds Metals, Dolores was registered as a real estate professional with Proctor Realty in Richmond and maintained her professional license into her retirement years. Her initial career began as a legal secretary and assistant with the law offices of Hirschler-Fleischer in Richmond.

 Dolores was a member of the Monacan Jr. Women’s Club in Richmond and a former member of the Richmond Ski Club.

 Dolores is survived by two sons, Raymond E. McCann IV of Lottsburg, and Paul A. McCann of Richmond; grandchildren, Captain (USMC) Logan A. McCann of San Diego, Calif., Lindsey C. McCann of San Diego and Raymond E. McCann V of Warsaw; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Katie; and brother, Fred Bissonnette of Kansas.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. McCann III; and son, Thomas McCann.

 A service will be held at 11 a.m. May 19, at Saint Timothy Catholic Church in Tappahannock. Father Gerald Musuubire shall officiate the service.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Dolores may be made to The Children’s Hospital Foundation at VCU or Virginians for the Arts Foundation.
