EDWARDSVILLE—Dorothy “Dar’ Samuel of Edwardsville died November 12, 2018.
She was born December 12, 1948, to the late Nevil Noel and the late Stella Noel of Edwardsville.
Dorothy attended Northumberland County Public Schools in Burgess. She was a member of Galilee United Methodist Church, Edwardsville, where she served as an usher.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Samuel; son, Casey Samuel; grandson, Tevin Samuel; two sisters, Willie Ann Sutton and Daisy Wiggins; and sister-in-law, Sarah Harcum.
Dorothy is survived by three daughters, Nancy Henderson (Quinton), Juanita Samuel (Darryl) and Alice Noel (Stewart); two sons, Thomas Samuel (Commesha) and Tyrone Samuel; 21 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; one sister, Emma Paige (Charles); three brothers, Thomas Noel (Emma Jane), Donald Harcum (Shirley) and Norman Harcum; brother-in-law, James Samuel (Edith); one special niece, Vivian Nutt; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A service was held November 17 at Galilee UMC. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
