The Friends of Dragon Run (FODR) will celebrate the coming of spring with a nature hike for members and guests from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, March 19, at the Big Island Complex, 558 Piedmont Road, Shacklefords.
“We have three walking trails to meet almost everyone’s ability,” said communications coordinator Anne Atkins.”You will have an opportunity to view several spring ephemerals like bloodroot and spring beauty.”
Leaves on many shrubs and trees will be coming out as well as other woodland plants, said Atkins.
