Edwin C. “Junior” Barrack

MORATTICO—Edwin Columbus “Junior” Barrack, 86, of Morattico passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on August 12, 2022.

He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and a lifelong commercial waterman.

He had a great appreciation for music and nature and loved being on the water fishing with family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Edwin Taylor Barrack and stepmother, Irene G. Barrack of Litwalton; his mother, Edna Isabelle Ferrier of Brooklyn Park, Maryland; and half-brother, Walter “Sonny” Barrack also of Maryland. 

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Janet J. Barrack; daughter, Betty L. Barrack; son, Edwin Wayne Barrack (Courtney); grandchildren, Sarah J. Bullis (Justin), Aimee Victoria Barrack and Edwin Wayne Barrack Jr.; and great-grandson, Jackson Beau Bullis.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 20, at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. Interment will follow the service at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lively. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 19, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Virginia, 1924 Tappahannock Boulevard, Tappahannock, VA 22560; or The Lancaster Moose Lodge, P.O. Box 422, Lively, VA 22507.
