Elizabeth “Betty” C. Corbett

LIVELY—Elizabeth “Betty” Chase Corbett, born on August 27, 1922, passed away on July 20, 2026, at the age of 103.

Betty was born in Warsaw and grew up in White Stone. She attended St. Mary’s before meeting her husband, Richard, at the University of North Carolina, where she graduated with a degree in biology. Her studies in radiology and laboratory techniques led to work at UCLA as a laboratory technician involved in arthritis and cancer drug research.

Throughout her life, Betty shared many interests with her husband, including photography, gem and mineral faceting and rockhounding. She was also active in the Daughters of the American Revolution and once held the position of regent at the local level.

A loving mother of three sons, Richard Jr. (deceased), and is survived by sons, Carter and David Corbett; and three grandchildren, Jessica R. Corbett, Willam Corbett and Harmony Weischedel.

Betty will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She will join her husband at Grace Church Cemetery, Kilmarnock.
