HAMPTON—Estelle G. Scott, 84, died September 17, 2001, after a brief illness at her home in Hampton with her family by her side.
Estelle was born on August 13, 1937, to Raleigh and Eliza Nutt.
Estelle was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She attended Julius Rosenwald High School. She worked in the seafood industry, as an insurance agent for Universal Life for 22 years, and later as a companion in the home healthcare industry.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Odell Scott; siblings, Larry Nutt, Matilda Ball, William Nutt, Tyrone Nutt and Edgar Nutt; children, Odell Scott and Mark Scott.
She is survived by siblings, Raleigh Nutt Jr., Connie Scott, Maxine Glover, Barbara Handy and Stanley Nutt; daughter, Wanda Donahoo; grandchildren, Katina Turner, Travis Scott, Marcus Scott and Jalen Donahoo; and great-grandchildren, Dominique and Maurice McLean.
A funeral was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 25, at Calvary Baptist Church, Kilmarnock, followed by burial in Mount Olive Cemetery.
