Excitement is building for the annual Irvington Crab Festival

Sallie Dashiell, owner of Pearl Boutique and a member of the Steamboat Era Museum board of directors, shows her support for the ninth annual Irvington Crab Festival by featuring a banner in front of her store on Main Street in Kilmarnock.

So many events have been cancelled this summer during the pandemic, but not the ninth annual Irvington Crab Festival. The Grab-a-Crab event will be held from 4-7 p.m. August 8 at Chesapeake Bank, 98 King Carter Drive, Irvington.

“No big tent this year, but you can still enjoy crabs with family and friends,” said Steamboat Era Museum executive director Barbara Brecher.
