Farmers market, car show, quilt Bingo slated Saturday

The Heathsville Farmers Market will be held from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, August 17, at Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern (RHHT), 73 Monument Place, Heathsville. An antique and classic car show will be featured from 9-11 a.m. Bingo for Quilts will follow at 1:30 p.m.

As part of the car show, local members of the Antique Automobile Club of America and the Northern Neck Corvette Club will cruise into RHHT. Individuals are also welcome. The public will vote for their favorite and the winner will receive the Tavern’s “People’s Choice Chocolate Chip Cookie Award,” said RHHT director Corinne Becker.

The market will offer fresh produce, meat, flowers, nursery plants, baked goods, eggs, canned goods, honey, roasted coffee and handcrafts, said Becker.
