Living History Day will be featured at the Heathsville Farmers Market from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, September 17, as part of the “Make It a Heathsville Saturday” community initiative.
The market, at Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern, 73 Monument Place, Heathsville, will offer produce, meat, eggs, jams, pickles, baked goods, peanuts, barbecue sauce and handcrafts.
Historical groups will set up an “encampment” on the Tavern Green, reported executive director Corinne Becker. Watch a colonial cooking demonstration on an open fire. Then meet the “Schoolmaster” at the Tavern….
