Fatal crash results in DUI arrest, involuntary manslaughter charge

OAK GROVE—A head-on collision on Kings Highway at the King George-Westmoreland County line resulted in the death of a 34-year-old man and left another person injured.

At approximately 7:32 p.m. on Monday, November 18, Virginia State Police (VSP) responded to the scene of the crash, where a white Dodge Ram was traveling eastbound on Kings Highway when it crossed the center line and collided head-on with a brown Hyundai Sonata, according to VSP Division 1-Richmond master public information officer Sgt. Jessica Shehan.

The driver of the Hyundai, Anthony Ray Bullock-Brown, 34, of Colonial Beach was pronounced dead at the scene, said Sgt. Shehan. A passenger in the Hyundai sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

The driver of the Dodge Ram, a 32-year-old male from Warsaw was found to be intoxicated at the time of the crash, she said. He was transported to Mary Washington Hospital for medical treatment and later arrested. The driver faces charges of DUI and involuntary manslaughter under Virginia Code Section 18.2-266.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
