First day nature walk set Jan. 1

Signage provides visitors to Hickory Hollow Natural Area Preserve a glimpse of what they might find along the trail. Naturalists Kevin Howe and Betsy Washington of the Northern Neck Chapters of National Audubon Society and Virginia Native Plant Society will lead a nature walk on New Year’s Day, January 1, meeting at 1 p.m. at the Hickory Hollow parking lot off Regina Road in Lancaster.
