Board chairman Carroll Lee Ashburn recently released the 2022 class of the Northern Neck Sports Wall of Fame. They are Tay Betts, Stanley Gaskins, Brian Buffaloe and Darrell Long.
The inductees include two athletes from Lancaster County, an athlete-turned coach from Northumberland County and a marathon runner from Richmond County.
The Wall of Fame honors athletes and athletic contributors, including broadcasters and journalists, from the four counties of the Northern Neck—Lancaster, Northumberland, Richmond and Westmoreland. Starting in 2000, the wall now has 69 honorees and is in the Sports Centre, 60 South Main Street, Kilmarnock.
