Four divisions to race Saturday at VMS

Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway will return to racing on Saturday, June 29, with week six of the Dirt Series Championship. The event will feature the Victory Lap Pro Late Models, Truckin Thunder Sportsman, Budweiser Modified and Collision One Limited Stock Car divisions.

 After a rainout on June 8, Corey Almond of Appomattox holds a 5-point advantage over Justin Williams of Concord in the late model points. With the division averaging 26 cars a week, this is the most competitive division at the speedway.

 In the modified division, there have been three different winners in as many races with defending champion Hunter McClendon of Williamsburg holding a 20-point lead over Lance Grady of Hanover.
