The Friends of Dragon Run (FODR) will hold their annual meeting by Zoom at 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 11.
This virtual meeting is open to all and will feature biologist Dr. Shawn Dash of Hampton University, a very entertaining, knowledgeable, and passionate speaker about the natural world, reported treasurer Kevin Howe. His presentation, “Natural History of the Chesapeake Bay,” is part ecology lecture, part wildlife exploration and part love affair of the bay.
Dr. Dash describes his lecture as an introduction to the largest estuarine habitat in the U.S. “We will start as a tiny droplet of water falling from the foothills and travel to the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay,” he said.
