RICHMOND—The Virginia General Assembly is midway through the 30-day 2021 session.
Among legislation of local interest, District 98 Del. M. Keith Hodges of Urbanna introduced a resolution commending Christchurch School as it celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2021. Co-patrons include District 9 Del. Charles D. Poindexter of Glade Hill and District 4 Sen. Ryan T. McDougle of Mechanicsville.
According to the Virginia General Assembly Legislative Information System, the House on Monday, January 25, agreed to House Joint Resolution 603 by a voice vote.
Meanwhile, Del. Hodges, Sen. McDougle and District 28 Sen. Richard H. Stuart of Montross are among the 57 co-patrons of Senate Bill 1157. Introduced by District 12 Sen. Siobhan S. Dunnavant of Henrico, this bill facilitates the administration of the COVID-19 vaccination.
On Friday, January 22, the Senate passed the bill, 38-0.
