KILMARNOCK—George A. Nickels, 78, of Kilmarnock passed away on February 2, 2018.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Kathleen M. Long Nickels; daughter, Sharon C. Minarczyk (Joseph); granddaughter, Tiffany A. Minarczyk; and sisters, Helene Meikle (Kenneth) of Ohio and Maryann Iacona (Jerry) of New Jersey.
Mr. Nickels was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew J. Nickels and Theresa Speran Nickels; his brother, Matthew Nickels; and sister, Catherine Lauria.
He was an outstanding and loving husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 9, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Kilmarnock. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 8, at Currie Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
