Police from local jurisdictions and Northumberland’s finest volunteer firefighters are gearing up for their annual flag football contest at the Northumberland Family YMCA in Heathsville. The fourth annual Guns & Hoses Bowl is set for noon Saturday, November 11.
The event is sure to prove a close contest, as the firefighters will be coming to play with a vengeance after falling by just two points last year in a game that came down to the last play, nearly snapping the LEOs’ undefeated record, reported deputy Caleb Smith of the Northumberland County Sheriff”s Office.
