The Bay Bowl trophy will remain at Northumberland High for another year.
The Indians won the annual end-of-the-regular-season clash over Lancaster, 54-33, last Friday in Claraville.
Northumberland advances to this weekend’s Group 1A East playoffs. Lancaster, which went winless in Northern Neck District play and finished 1-9 overall, did not make postseason play.
Northumberland, which went 7-3 overall to finish ninth in Region 1A East, will travel to eighth-seeded West Point tomorrow (November 10) for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
