Hands-on science, technology, engineering and math activities

Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck youth learn hardware engineering skills alongside Youth Technology Network representatives in the Smiley STEM Center—made possible through the generosity of Rebecca R. Smiley.

Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck (BGCNN) is partnering with Youth Technology Network (YTN) this summer to bring science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) related activities to club kids.

“YTN’s mission is to inspire students to ‘Think, Grow, and Achieve’ through programs that capture the imagination, generate curiosity and build confidence,” said YTN president Bobby Blackwell.

“Together we hope to inspire youth through exposure to STEM educational experiences,” said BGCNN resource development director Jill Sears. For many, STEM education is not readily available….
