WICOMICO CHURCH—Henry J. Dawson, 87, of Maryland, formerly of Wicomico Church, passed away on September 15, 2018. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a retired Iron Worker for Local 5 in Upper Marlboro, Md.
He is survived by his son, Theodore Wright (Lynn); three daughters, Stacey Dawson, Carolyn Hysan (Bob) and Wanda G. Wilson (Bud); 12 grandchildren, David Dawson, Pamela Jett (Lawrence), Brandy Robinson, Wayne Robinson, Scotty Klein, Kelly Rucker, Johnny Wright (Tina), Mike Garrett, Johnny Garrett, Kim Richmond, Wanda Teeter and Steve Wright; 24 great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Bessie Mae Georgianna, Linda Madeline Alvis and Anna Ticer; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Albert Dawson and Violet Mae George Dawson; his wife, Marjorie Dawson; granddaughter, Jeanie Klein; and brothers, Benjamin L. Dawson, Clarence H. Dawson and Daniel D. Derr.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, September 23, at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. Interment will follow the service at Wicomico Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, September 22.
