The Lancaster Virginia Historical Society (LVHS) recently announced special hours for “Summer 4th Saturdays” at the LVHS Museum, 8346 Mary Ball Road, Lancaster.
The museum will be open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays. The museum and gift shop also will be open from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturdays June 29, July 27 and August 24.
Self-guided tours include the featured exhibit in Lancaster House, “Digging Into Archaeology: Uncovering Pieces of Lancaster’s Past,” as well as the 1797 Old Clerk’s Office and 1820s Old Jail. A $5 donation is requested for admission. LVHS members and children with an adult are admitted free.
