The Northern Neck of Virginia Historical Society (NNVHS) will host guest speaker Dennis “Monroe” Bigelow, portraying President James Monroe, at the May 9 spring membership meeting and luncheon.
Bigelow, in character, tells the story of America’s last and least known Founding Father, President James Monroe, reported executive director Kathy G. Schuber.
For 15 years, Dennis “Monroe” Bigelow of Charlottesville has performed as President Monroe and teaches about Monroe at the University of Virginia. His work has been praised by his audiences as being “informative, humorous, lively and very engaging.”
