Exhibitions from the 21st annual Northern Neck History Fair are on display through May 23 at the Lancaster Community Library, 16 Town Centre Drive, Kilmarnock.
Third grade students at Chesapeake Academy and fourth grade students at Northumberland Elementary School entered the contest by creating original exhibits or displays that tell the story of an event, person or cultural development in Virginia during the period 1607-1789. The fair promotes research on colonial and revolutionary Virginia by these students, who study the period as part of their Virginia Studies curricula….
