Historyland crafters to meet at library

Historyland Community Workshop will relocate to the Lancaster Community Library, 16 Town Center Drive, Kilmarnock.

The volunteer community crafting group which has been meeting on Mondays since 1987 can be found to the left inside the main lobby, said Luci York. New and returning members are urged to join the group.

“Bring materials for whatever project you are currently working on and/or would like to share as a group project,” said York. If you have extra craft materials or yarns that you would like to share, this is a perfect time for you.

Meetings will be held at 10 a.m. first and third Mondays. Bring a drink or treat. Generally the meeting will break up about noon, but if the room is free they may go longer.

The goal of the group is to meet, create items for an annual benefit sale and distribute the proceeds for scholarships to Lancaster and Northumberland High School graduates in 2018, said York. The sale date will be November 17, at Grace Episcopal Church in Kilmarnock.
