WARSAW—Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run incident involving a pedestrian on Tuesday, February 3, on Richmond Road in Warsaw.
At approximately 7:30 p.m., a pedestrian, identified as Arthur A. Day, 58, of Warsaw was crossing Richmond Road approximately 129 feet west of Campus Drive when multiple vehicles were traveling eastbound, reported public information officer Sgt. Jessica B. Shehan. Day was transported to VCU Tappahannock, where he later succumbed to his injuries, she said.
The vehicle and driver involved remain unidentified and this crash remains under active investigation, Shehan said.
