Holiday program celebrates global traditions

An adaptation of “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure” gave the Chesapeake Academy community a spin through holidays around the world at the annual holiday program. From left are Ashlin Kenyon, Rune Cotter, Sofia Kunkle, Evan Cunningham, Sienna Miller and Alyra Elam.

Everything from Mother Nature’s early snows, Santa’s stealthy visits, caroling kids bringing cheer to assisted living residents and festive holiday meals at school contributed to a fun-filled holiday season in 2025.

However, the season did not begin in earnest until Chesapeake Academy held its holiday program, this year showcasing traditions from across the globe as a culmination of a broader geographic and cultural study, reported head of school Catherine L. Emery.
