Blue Star Memorial Markers are a lasting tribute to the men and women who have served and are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. Sponsored by the National Garden Clubs Inc. nearly 4,000 Blue and Gold Star Memorials can be found throughout the country. Often along highways, interstates and rest areas, they serve as reminders of the nation’s gratitude to those who serve and their families. Rappahannock Garden Club is proud to sponsor the Blue Star Memorial Marker located on Mary Ball Road at Trinity Episcopal Church. This memorial stands a a symbol of respect, gratitude and enduring patriotism. Veterans Day is Wednesday, November 11.
