FREDERICKSBURG—Howard Wayne Beagle, 83, of Fredericksburg passed peacefully from his earthly life on Friday, April 17, 2026.
He was predeceased by his parents, David Hay Beagle and Lois Lucille Eagle.
He is survived by his three children, Shawn (Scott) Rogers of Burr Hill, Karen Counts of Jupiter, Fla., and David Milton McDuff “Duff” (Annie) Beagle of White Stone. Wayne is also survived by his two sisters who he dearly loved, Brenda Crowther of Kilmarnock, and Sharyn Beagle of Bradley, Calif. Three grandchildren and six great-granddaughters loved him and will miss his presence.
Wayne’s professional life included positions at Bank of Lancaster and Crowther Ford. For 27 years, he was an employee of the United States Postal Service, from which he retired in 2005.
In his personal life, Wayne enjoyed fishing, eating hard crabs with family and friends, singing in the choir at Kilmarnock Baptist Church, and swimming with his young children at Windmill Point pool. Eating homemade chocolate ice cream hand-cranked on the dock was also a favorite, as was watching the Baltimore Colts, Atlanta Braves, and Virginia Tech Hokies.
Wayne had a deep faith, and his greatest love was for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His family finds great solace in knowing that he is now with him eternally.
Graveside services will be held for the family at White Stone Baptist Church.
Currie Funeral Home LLC of Kilmarnock handled the arrangements.
