Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club hosted its women’s and men’s doubles championships October 10 and 11.
The ladies defiantly led the way with some outstanding play; the men had their moments as well, reported racquet sports director George Christoforatos.
Debbie Gillispie and Ava Dalton won the Ladies A division; Sandy Aderholt and Tammy McCauley won the Ladies B division; and Bob Gillispie and Jeff Duffy won the Men’s division.
Division A
Brenda Christoforatos and Diane Maddox faced Dalton and Gillispie in the Ladies A final and deciding match.
The first set could have gone either way, said G. Christoforatos. Dalton and Gillispie played big tennis, serving big in key situations.
