Ilona Duncan of Wicomico Church recently won two writing awards for “The Little Crapaud,” a creative non-fiction piece about the baby grand she adopted in France.
Becoming the owner of this piano involved humorous interviews with the dealer who represented the instrument’s mysterious owners in Toulouse, said Duncan. The telling of this tale earned her a third-place award in Memoir Vignette from the 2020 Soul-Making Keats.
