In-person voting will begin May 3 for upcoming Dual Primary Elections

According to the Virginia Department of Elections, Dual Primary Elections will be held June 18. Meanwhile, in-person early voting will begin May 3 at voter registration offices.

Statewide, a Republican Party Primary will be held to nominate a candidate for U.S. Senate in the November 5 election. The winner will face Democratic incumbent Sen. Tim Kaine.

In the First District, a Democratic Party Primary will be held to nominate a candidate for U.S. House of Representatives in the November 5 election. The winner will face Republican incumbent Rep. Rob Wittman.Virginia is for Voters

The Republican Primary ballot will include candidates Hung Cao of Purcellville, Edward C. “Eddie” Garcia Jr. of Arlington, Jonathan W. Emord of Williamsburg, C. L. “Chuck” Smith Jr. of Virginia Beach and Scott Thomas Parkinson of Arlington.

The Democratic Primary ballot will include candidates Leslie C. Mehta of Henrico and Herbert C. Jones Jr. of Providence Forge.
