Indians tally three wins in girls soccer

Northumberland High School picked up three wins last week to improve to 8-1 in varsity girls soccer.

The Lady Indians opened play on Monday, April 15, with a 2-0 win over St. Margaret’s School. Eliza Leo scored on a pass from Layla Leo 21 minutes into the first half and Layla Cordova scored late in the second half on a pass from E. Leo.

E. Leo tallied 14 shots. Cordova took three shots and Emma Kimball, one shot.

Northumberland spotted the Eagles a goal by Gabriela Godinez in the first minute of play on Wednesday, April 17, and scored eight unanswered for an 8-1 win in Northern Neck District play.

Indians Ryland Pearson scored on a corner and was assisted by Cordova at the nine-minute mark in the first half to tie the game and….
